Macca of Social Networking!

Facebook has announced that it will showcase advertisements in the News feed section of our Facebook accounts.
This move of Facebook was expected from a long while.
As we all know, the shares of Facebook fallen to earth after the grand opening of its IPO at $800 million.
So,Facebook is planning major acquisitions and have done some of the acquisitions in order to strong its position in Social media space.
It previously acquired the Silicon valley based startup “Timeline” to take the social media experience of its users to next level.
The outcome of this experiment will be worth watching.
Still, the response from the business gallery is very positive.
Now,the user response is yet to arrive.
Yet,more such moves are expected in near future in Facebook.

Nothing is impossible!!

Inspiration for Millions!

Human flight is nothing but creativity of human mind and it undergoes several struggles to achieve excellence. In 1895, a great well-known scientist Lord Kelvin, who was the President of Royal Society of London said, “any thing heavier than air cannot fly, and cannot be flown.” Within a decade, Wright Brothers proved man could fly of course at heavy risk and cost.

On the successful completion of Moon Mission in 1969, Von Braun, a very famous rocket designer, who built Saturn-V, to launch the capsule with astronauts and made moon walk a reality, in 1975 said “If I am authorized, I will remove the word impossible”.

In ancient days, Ptolemaic astronomy is a widely used system in calculating the dynamics of various stars and planets. Assumption by then was that the earth is flat. What a scientific struggle had to take place to prove that the earth is spherical in shape orbiting around the sun. The three great astronomers Copernicus, Galileo and Kepler had to give a new dimension to the world of astronomy. Today we take it for granted that earth is a globe, orbiting around the sun, and the sun orbits in the Milky Way. All the technological advancements we have today are the outcome of scientific exploration of scientists of earlier centuries. At no time, man was beaten by problems. He strives continuously to subjugate impossibility and then succeeds.

According to the laws of aerodynamics the bumble bee should never be able to fly. Because of the size, weight, and shape of its body in relationship to the total wing span, flying is scientifically impossible. The bumble bee, being ignorant of scientific theory, goes ahead and flies anyway.

What exactly happened that night?

Gaurav Tower @Kota

The entrance for “Bansal Classes” held on 15th June 2008.By the 25th June the results were declared.
And guess what?
I was selected!! wow!
The classes were scheduled to start from 30th June.
Me happily finished the packing and landed in Kota along with my mom.
As my cousin was there in Kota. So,temporary stay was not a problem.
As Kota is blessed with awesome weather,I used to sleep on the floor of the room.
Now,the main task started search for an appropiate accomodation.
Next day,Me along with my mom visited a lot of accomodations.
But nothing got selected!!
That night,me ,deepak and ankur decided to make a search.
After having dinner,we left the room.
Roamed here and there.Talked about happenings worldwide.
But,the agenda i.e.”Searching for a room” just went missing.
Suddenly,Ankur told,”Bhaiya! Room to dekh lo.”
Suddenly,we got to a building that was looking like a hostel.
It was all dark.
The gate of the building was having dim light on adjacent sides.
All we could see were 2-3 mans standing together.
We got to the gate.
One person out of them said,”Re Kaun Hai Bhaya?”<Who Are You?>
Deepak approached them and asked,”Aapke yahan khali room hai kya?”<Do you have any accomodation?>
One of them asked,”Kiske liye chahiye?”<To whom the accomodation is needed>
Deepak pointed at me and said,”Bhaiya ke liye chahiye”.
All of those just got surprised and looked at us from neck to bottom.
They asked us,”Tumhe pata hai yeh kya hai?”<Do you know what is this?>
Deepak replied,”Na”.<No!>
They told,”Beta! Yeh ladkiyon ka hostel hai, isme rehna hai kya?” πŸ˜€ πŸ˜›
We said sorry to them and left to the room.
That’s how our search for room on day 1 ended.
πŸ™‚
πŸ˜€
Whenever,I remember this incident. It spreadsΒ  a smile on my face.
That’s why I love Kota and My Days @Kota.
Hope you enjoyed the article.

wow!!

It was the February 2009.
Valentine day was approaching fastly.
We all had our fantasies regarding valentine day celebration’s.But look outside the window, the outside air in Kota didn’t had that “Romantic spark”. πŸ˜€
So,with no option left,we got back to our studies.
Finally, the valentine week also started and our studies were getting to the final stages.
During this valentine week,me and my friends got a “Special” gift.
A test was proposed to be held on 14th Feb. 😦
<Aarmanon par pani fir gaya yaar!!>
Anyhow!!
We somehow managed ourself till 13th night.
Vo!!
Now the clock was showing 12 and then I putted my cell at silent mode.
It was done in order that ,”If someone special calls me today, mere kaminey doston ko pata na chale!!”
Me and my cell were watching each other. πŸ˜›
But,no one was responding.
Finally,I accepted my defeat and went to sleep.
zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz……….

Knock!Knock!
“Uth sale!! Exam hai Aaj”,Rahul was screaming like a mad.
I checked my cell first.
No messages,No calls!!
oops 😦
I left the bed, got downstairs and completed my breakfast.
Arranged the cycle from my junior and got to the test center.
There were two buildings.
Me and my friends parked our cycles.
Got into the first building and came to know this is “Girls Test Center”.
Completely Ambarassing!!
We got to the next building and completed the first test.
In the break got the market and eat “Filled Paties”. πŸ™‚
Again got to the center and gave the final test.
By the time, evening arrived and clock was showing 5 o’clock.
I took the cycle from the parking and was waiting for my friend.
I was standing in front of the girl’s test center.
Again an embarassing moment!!
Returned to hostel and got to my study table.Checked for the possible solutions of the questions and went to sleep.
At 8, i left the bed and had the dinner.
Again went to sleep.
That’s how the valentine day ended while i was in Kota.
Hope you enjoyed it.

He offered me dinner at Jodhpur restaurant. How could i deny the offer?<:D>
I accompanied him.Me,Deepak,Ankur n one more guy headed to the Restaurant.
None of us were having even a single penny into our pockets.
We first searched for the ATM nearby.Luckily! we got one very near.
After having money,we entered in the restaurant to get our dream meal!!
I dont know exactly what we eat there.
Only thing i remember was the soupe.
It ended well and we returned from there.
After wishing to each other,we headed to our room’s.
I got onto my study table and prepared the New Year “Resolution” that too in encoded form<:P>.
Pasted it well on wall.Got to my bed for relaxing.
Suddenly, Anurag entered the room with a deadly smile on the face.
He said”sale!! Aaj bhi soyega,Aaj party hai!!”.
I was in full surprise.
I asked him where?
“Terrace!”,he replied very softly.
Now,I had to leave my bed.
We all got to the terrace. All the spare wooden furniture of the hostel collected and was set on fire!!

Jali to jali!! πŸ˜€

After a while, the fire began to disaapear. We decided to burn the “Khas sheets”<used in water coolers, our hostel got the shipment of new sheets>.

You were right Mr.Jobs!!

December 15, 2011 1 comment

Sir steve Jobs

Only a few people know sir Steve Jobs was born to a non-married couple on Feb 24,1955.
This young duo included Abdulfattah “John” Jandali and Joanne Carole Schieble. Both met at the university of Wisconsin.Jandali taught political science there and schieble was his student<Isn’t it amazing!!>.
Here is the picture of Job’s biological parents:

He was adopted at the time of birth by another duo. This duo included Paul Reinhold Jobs and Clara Jobs. The maiden name of clara Jobs was Hagopian.
The Jobs family moved from San Francisco to Mountain View, California when Steve was five years old.Paul and Clara later adopted a daughter, Patti. Paul Jobs, a machinist for a company that made lasers, taught his son rudimentary electronics and how to work with his hands.Clara was an accountant, who taught him to read before he went to school. Clara Jobs had been a payroll clerk for Varian Associates, one of the first high-tech firms in what became known as Silicon Valley.
Here is the picture of Job’s Non-biological parents:
“Unfortunately the pic is not available”

When speaking about his biological parents, Jobs stated: “They were my sperm and egg bank. That’s not harsh, it’s just the way it was, a sperm bank thing, nothing more.”
May be the above written statement founds to be very harshing, but its truth.

When asked about his “adoptive parents,” Jobs replied emphatically that Paul and Clara Jobs “were my parents.”He later stated in his authorized biography that they “were my parents 1,000%.”

All i can say :”You were right Mr.Jobs!!”
Vote for me now!

Those Awesome mornings

December 14, 2011 4 comments

After having dinner at 8 pm, we all got back to our usual tasks.
These usual tasks included chitchat with girlfriends, discussing national issues<:D>,sleeping and sometimes study<:P>.
Anyhow lot of us had the ability to wake up till the morning.
Upto 4’o’clock,our stomach used to become empty.
What to do now?

We then decided to get to our morning breakfast that too at 4 am.
On Talwandi circle which was about 2 KMs from our hostel, some “Poha” sellers used to arrive at 4 am.
One plate cost was 5 Rs. Only.
How it was?

Poha

Poha

“Poha” used to be mild boiled.Chopped onion, tomato and chilli’s were mixed into it.Chat masala and lemon were sprinkled on it.To give it a all together different flavors.
Wow!!
I have told you the complete breakfast recipe.
Try it out<:D>.
So, the yellow colored “Poha” used to be our morning sun.
I still miss “Poha” n Kota.
